1988 | D03 – Motorglider Single-Seat
After lot of drawings and tests, the first model designed and manufactured was the project code: D03. The D03 is a monoplane motorglider, single seat, it's a construction mixed composite fiberglass and steel. It was not completed because of the construction techniques and the materials used make the project unsuccessful.
This experience make to the company understand the way to follow, the composite material is not suitable for structural components, unable to obtain a continous single-fiber structure, combined the high costs of that techniques still didn't gave the validity for this category.
With the D03 there was the first aeroconversion of an engine, the VW 1600.
